General Information
The Amerex 570 Class D Metal Fire Extinguisher uses a Sodium Chloride-based dry powder, pressurised with argon so it won’t react with the burning metal itself. It’s designed for combustible metal fires involving magnesium, sodium, potassium, sodium-potassium alloys, zirconium, uranium, titanium and powdered aluminium — a fire type a standard ABE or BE extinguisher isn’t rated to handle.

I purchased two Amerex 570 Class D fire extinguishers from Firefx, they are hard to source and can be quite expensive Firefx was $500 cheaper than the other Australian sites that sold them, arrived in two weeks.
