The Amerex 571 Class D Metal Fire Extinguisher uses the same Sodium Chloride-based powder and argon pressurisation as the 570, but is specifically formulated for lithium and lithium alloy metal fires — a distinct combustible-metal risk from lithium-ion battery fires, which need an F-500 or CO2-rated extinguisher instead.
